We care about our planet earth and have a deep appreciation for nature and it's resources which is why here at Finca Maris we follow a holistic, environmentally conscious approach with the aim of leaving the smallest ecological impact possible. We are truly committed to be in alignment with nature and become more sustainable with every decision we make. / natural cleaning & care products We only use and offer natural and biodegradable cleaning products from Sonett and certified organic, ecologically packaged (recycled PET), and sustainably produced natural care products from Less is More – two brands that have one of the highest standards when it comes to sustainability and quality. / natural materials Carefully selected, durable and robust high-quality materials such as fsc certified wood, brass, marble, stone, rattan, and linen play an essential part of the interior design and the overall character of the finca. / waste Waste reduction and environmentally sound waste disposal, especially while being on an island is of great importance. To help reduce plastic consumption and encourage proper waste separation, we provide, among other things, reusable shopping bags and sorting bins for organic waste, paper, packaging/plastic, and glass. / water We collect rainwater which is used through the drip irrigation system to water the garden. We irrigate just the necessary to avoid wasting this scarce and precious resource. / zero km Directly from the garden to the table: fruit trees such as lemon, fig, tangerine, pomegranate, and aromatic plants were planted to provide fresh produce. You are more than welcome to grab a fig for your fruit salad or add rosemary to your gin tonic. / local & pre-loved Along with the beautiful ceramic tableware handcrafted by local artisans resembling Mediterranean traditions, many decorative pieces are either pre-loved or vintage.
